About Adore Your Pets

Adore Your Pets is a small, independent magazine about online slots, casino games and sports betting, written for adults aged 18 and over. We like these games, we find the mechanics behind them genuinely interesting, and we think people enjoy them more when they understand what they are paying for. That is the whole idea of the site: friendly explanations, a bit of humour, and no pretending that the odds are anything other than what they are.

What we are not

We do not run games, take bets, hold accounts or process payments of any kind. Nothing on this site can be played for money, and we never ask readers to sign up anywhere. We are not a regulator, a law firm or a counselling service, and none of our writers claims professional qualifications. When a subject needs that kind of expertise, such as the legal position in your country or support with gambling problems, we say so and point you towards the right kind of help.

We also do not publish rankings of real operators. When we discuss what makes a game or platform easier to trust, we keep it to general criteria, which you can read about on What We Look At.

How we write

Every article starts from the same question: what would a reader need to know to make a sensible choice? We use made-up numbers in our examples so the maths stays clear and nobody mistakes an illustration for a forecast. We avoid phrases that promise wins, because no method, pattern or system changes the built-in margin of a casino game or a betting market. And every piece includes a reminder that the rules on gambling vary from place to place.

Independent by design

The site is run by a small editorial team writing under pen names. When a piece names a studio, a betting brand or another business, treat that name as a starting point for your own checks rather than a seal of approval. Older pieces in our archive sometimes link to other websites; those links do not mean we vouch for anything on the other side.
